| Resumo: | Due to dispersion processes, the modern cities contain more and more spaces alienated from its socio-urban matrices. These spaces, often located in privileged places of the urban fabric, appear as a strategic opportunity to intervene for the cities' revitalization. Both the complexity and the potential associated with an intervention in these spaces lead us to a profound reflection on urban voids and on urban acupuncture actions. This dissertation emerges from the desire to propose an intervention in a vacant industrial space located in Bragança's city center. The proposed intervention method takes into account the surroundings and the historical, social and cultural circumstances of the location. Thus, it became clear the need to choose and analyze case studies in order to ensure a more informed view of rehabilitation actions in locations with heritage value. This analysis, divided into two moments, provides us, on the one hand, with a mature position on value as a design motive and, on the other hand, knowledge about action logics in similar structures. To perform an intervention proposal for our case study, has become unavoidable to analyze the urban morphology, to study the evolution of the territory in the physical and social domain and carefully, to read the dynamics of modern city. Assessing the possibility of this urban element transforming itself into a dynamic and potentiating pole of new urban dynamics, an attempt was made to carry out an approach as an urban project and to associate a program to the structure that matched the needs of the surrounding community, thus making a contribution to the city's revitalization.
