| Resumo: | Numa altura em que, ao nível da União Europeia, Portugal ganha evidência como o país que possui mais cursos de Psicologia por milhão de habitantes, o presente estudo, de caráter exploratório, surgiu com o objetivo de investigar quais são as representações que os estudantes universitários têm acerca da Psicologia e dos psicólogos. Deste modo, foi aplicado um questionário sobre a imagem da Psicologia a 248 estudantes universitários. As respostas ao questionário foram analisadas com recurso a uma análise multidimensional que contempla dois passos – Análise de Correspondências Múltiplas (ACM) e Análise de Clusters (AC). Através destas análises foi possível representar num plano fatorial as representações que os estudantes universitários presentes na amostra têm acerca da Psicologia, do psicólogo e do contexto; ### Representations of Psychology Among College Students Abstract: In a time where, in the European Union, Portugal emerges as a country which has more psychology courses by million inhabitants, the present study, of an exploratory character, appeared with the goal of investigating the representations of Psychology and psychologists among college students. Therefore, it was used an ad hoc questionnaire to 248 college students. The answers were analyzed using a twostep multidimensional procedure including Multiple Correspondence Analysis (MCA) and Cluster Analysis (CA). Using these analyses it was possible to represent on a factorial space the representations that the college students have about Psychology, psychologists and environment.
