Summary: | Work is currently under way to extend OMG CORBA specifications in order to handle applications with RT (Real-Time) constraints. The current RT CORBA proposal includes the definition of a new task model that current resource contention protocols cannot handle. Situations where current resource contention protocols may not be used are identified. A re-mapping of the SRP (Stack Resource Protocol), and an extension to the SRP is proposed that will support some situations that may not yet be handled. |
