Resumo: | The Braga stadium, constructed for the 2004 European Football Championship, has two grandstands beside the playing area covered by a suspended roof with a span of about 200m. The innovative characteristics of the roof structure have motivated extensive numerical studies during design, dynamic tests after construction and the installation of monitoring systems. This paper describes in detail a recently installed Continuous Dynamic Monitoring System, the experimental and numerical studies developed to prepare its installation and the results obtained after processing the data collected during the first 50 days of operation, giving particular emphasis to the outputs of algorithms that perform the automatic identification of the roof modal parameters. |
