Summary: | Digital inclusion is also related to the development of individuals in skills and competencies to access, use and efficiently dissemination of information. Besides, continuous technological developments such as the emergence of the semantic Web, leads to new professional profiles and demands. The design and management of information systems with large collections of materials need to constantly re-evaluate the identity of its users and their main purposes. Libraries are continually developing processes and services to exploit the benefits of the Semantic Web, for instance. In this paper, we discuss the main trends in this field, especially those that influence the context of the Web of Data.
