| Resumo: | The expansion of broadband networks, increased speed of data transfer and free access to information through the Internet have contributed to the increased use of mobile devices. Also, in the field of operational oceanography , mobile devices are ubiquitous and updated product query tools. Here, oceanographic observatories play an important role in the integration and delivery of standard, free and open data formats from various institutions. The volume of data, the combination of complex, multivariate data with spatio-temporal nature combined with the small size of the representation space, makes the visualization of data from operational oceanography a challenge. This work proposes a visualization solution by combining different techniques of scientific visualization, exploiting graphic properties such as shape, color and symbolism. The methodology used is based on functional design and prototyping, which the results will be then evaluated by experts.
