| Resumo: | A presente investigação pretende avaliar de que forma é que a certificação formal das competências ocorridas nos indivíduos residentes no concelho de Arraiolos, entre 2000 e 2005, determinou os respetivos projetos de vida. O estudo pretende, assim, analisar os percursos subsequentes e a trajetória de vida dos adultos, resultante do processo de RVCC. A investigação está organizada em cinco capítulos: no primeiro e no segundo descrevemos, de forma sucinta, a génese da educação de adultos e do sistema RVCC em Portugal; no terceiro, caracterizamos o contexto de intervenção; no quarto, descrevemos o desenho metodológico e, no último capítulo, efetuamos a análise e interpretação dos resultados. A metodologia utilizada neste estudo foi mista, isto é, análise quantitativa e qualitativa. Verificamos que o impacto do processo de RVCC, concretizado pelos residentes no concelho de Arraiolos (2000-2005), foi positivo nas várias dimensões, sendo a dimensão pessoal a mais valorizada pelos respondentes; ABSTRACT: This research aims to evaluate how the formal certification of skills occurred in individuals living in Arraiolos between 2000 and 2005, determined the respective life projects. The study seeks to analyze the pathways and subsequent trajectory of adults' lives resulting from the RVCC process. The research is organized into five chapters: the first and second describe briefly the genesis of adult education and the RVCC system in Portugal, the third characterizes the context of intervention; the fourth describes the methodological framework and the last chapter presents the analysis and interpretation of results. The methodology used in this study was mixed, i.e. quantitative and qualitative analysis. We found that the impact of the RVCC process, achieved by residents in the municipality of Arraiolos (2000-2005), was positive in several dimensions, with the personal dimension being the most valued by respondents.
