| Summary: | Após uma breve introdução histórica sobre o que ficou designado como o musical, esta dissertação aborda o aparecimento e evolução do género em Portugal. Incide particularmente na análise e recepção deste tipo de espectáculo musical em Lisboa entre os anos de 2000 e 2010, incluindo o levantamento dos espectáculos realizados na cidade nessa década. É através de alguma experiência pessoal, da recolha de opiniões e testemunhos de artistas relacionados com o musical que se procura percepcionar o desenvolvimento do género em Lisboa no período proposto, problematizando os factores desse desenvolvimento e as questões da formação dos artistas e do mercado de trabalho à sua disposição; ### Abstract: Title: The Musical in Lisbon (2000-2010) After a brief historical introduction regarding what has become known as the musical, this dissertation approaches the upcoming and evolution of the genre in Portugal. It mainly focuses on the analysis and reception of this kind of musical event between the years 2000 and 2010, including the listing of shows that took place in the city during that decade. It is through some personal experience, the research of opinions and testimonies of artists that work with musicals, that one tries to understand the development of this genre in Lisbon in the proposed period, considering the factors of such development and the issues of formation of the artists and of the work market that is available.
