Summary: | With the objectives of contributing to the development of an IPM program in the PAMAF 2034 “Improvement greenhouse horticultural production in the Oeste region”, a greenhouse tomato Varieties Demonstration Field has been accompanied belonging to the AGRO nº 4 project “Development of integrated production techniques for protected and open-field vegetables in the Oeste region”. The greenhouse, located in A-dos-Cunhados, is composed of a material structure of eight bodies with a lateral and an overhead opening per body. The Autumn-Winter crop was evaluated in two distinct substrates: rock wool and coconut fibre and comprised 45 varieties of medium and large “beef”, “cherry”, “bunch” and “chucha” tomatoes. The culture presented the tripe Frankliniella occidentalis as its main enemy during the installation phase. With the development of culture TSWV, bacterial, namely, Pseudomonas complex, leaf worms (Autographa gamma, Chrysodeixis chalcites) and fruit worms (Helicoverpa armigera) development. Despite the overhead opening, the structure showed insufficient venting capacity, which was aggravated by the development of grey mould (Botrytis cinerea) and powdery mildew (Leveillula taurica, even thought the adequate treatment, defoliation and pruning. The variety susceptibility to the main enemies is evaluated and discussed.
