Observing the specific institutional processes related to family-related migration allows us to observe for instance, the construction of a space of control and criminalization. This focus on "illegality" stems from an interest in the mechanisms through which determined practices of individuals engaging in transnational mobility are being institutionally framed as problematic, and legally sanctioned as such. |
