Resumo: | Practice exercises prove to be a fundamental way for the coach to be able to increase the performance level of the players, as well as solve problems raised by the match. For this reason, there must be a training process, based on the development of capacities in the physical, technical, tactical and psychological component, both individually and collectively, according to the competitive calendar. The present internship report, developed under the 2nd cycle of the Master Degree in High Performance Sports Training of the Faculty of Sport of the University of Porto, aims at an approach regarding the growth of women's football, as well as the experiences in all the processes regarding the professional stage, based on literature revision as guiding line in training. Prior to these training sessions, there was the need to create a training model and a game model based on each player. In addition, the training plan was guided by a weekly planning, as well as the training unit itself, which were crucial in the team's orientation throughout the sporting season. Indeed, the systematic repetition of motor skills as part of the training planning, as well as our game principles, and then, proper reflection and evaluation of the training, were crucial to the increase of our team's performance, and allowed the players to be ready for new challenges. On the other hand, as we were in a new competitive series, the scouting of the opposition caused difficulties in the strategic preparation of our game. As a final conclusion, and based on evaluation throughout the team's sporting season, we highlight the difficulties we had during this entire internship process, namely the absence of youth training in the evolutionary process of the players of the squad, and the considerable difference of learning levels among them, mainly due to the great disparity of sports practice experience.
