| Resumo: | The present Master's Dissertation consists on the creation of a project of intervention in an existing building, situated on the outskirts of the town Ponte de Lima. Beginning from the analysis and interpretation of the place and the existing buildings, a study is developed to create a viable project. This aims to valorize and recover preexisting elements that takes part of the property called Casa da Baldrufa. Besides that, the project intend to return the dignity to the building and to the sorrounding places. Once this case stimulates the study of problems related to the intervention in old buildings, the practical exercise is presented accompanied with a little reflection. Therefore, it is possible to understand different projective processes and different ways to intervent. This way, the idea of intervention in the object of study unleashed the analysis of methods, wich ended up showing the way to find the adopted solutions.
