Summary: | The acoustic scattering of a three-dimensional (3D) sound source by an infinitely long rigid barrier in the vicinity of a tall building is analyzed using the boundary element method (BEM). The acoustic barrier is modeled using boundary elements, and is assumed to be non-absorbing, while the image source method is used to model the tall building as an infinite vertical barrier. A frequency domain BEM formulation is used, and time domain responses are then obtained by applying an inverse Fourier transformation. |
