Summary:Besides the known environmental benefits thatElectric Vehicles (EVs) offer, there are newopportunities available in electrical propulsion thatcould be exploited by advanced control systems toimprove the vehicle safety, comfort, performanceand handling. In this work a new platform, based onFPGAs, is presented for implementation ofAdvanced Control System in Multi-Motor EV. Thecontrol system is performed on a FPGA, exploitingthe parallel processing capabilities and merging, ina single and compact chip, motor, traction andmotion control systems.
