Resumo:Today, in the city of Porto, we live a period where the themes of rehabilitation, remodeling, and reconstruction of architectural heritage are increasingly important in political, economic, and social speeches. These processes of building transformation have become an unavoidable theme when we talk about Downtown Porto. And, in this regard, the dissertation 'Processes of Urban Densification in Porto. Rosário Street and Miguel Bombarda Street' intends to be an approach to the evolution of the built volume of these streets, through the analysis of cartography, drawings of construction permits and photographs from different periods. In order to identify the different processes of urban densification, the profiles of these two streets were drawn, for the purpose of investigating and communicating the transformation of the built environment in the streets Rosário and Miguel Bombarda throughout the nineteenth century and early twentieth century, in comparison with the present time.
