Resumo: | This paper presents experimental reference geometries to be used in sheet metal forming. Eachreference geometry attempts to model the typical behavior of pieces of sheet metal. The results of thisstudy were compared with data obtained fram the literature. Discussion is also presented on aspectsrelated to the reproducibility and reliability of the results. Sliding of the blank over the punch, and thepress ram speed are important in this reproducibility. Finally, numerical simulations are presented forone of the reference geometries presented, using finite elements. The results are compared withexperimental results, demonstrating good correlation between them.
