Resumo: | This article aims to present some reflections on the novel O Coração dos Homens (2006), by the Portuguese writer Hugo Gonçalves, based on the articulation of the concepts of “hegemonic masculinity” (CONNELL 1995/2005) and “masculinity practices” (ALMEIDA, 1996/2000) with aspects inserted in the novelistic plot. In a dystopian scenario, where women are banned, men compete with each other for their survival and permanence in a troubled and violent world. |
