Resumo:The development of mobile devices with access to the internet allied with a convergence culture establishes the foundations for the introduction of second screen in the fruition process of television contents. This paper develops the hypothesis that the use of second screen by viewers reconfigures consolidated practices of television consumption, such as forms of interactivity, socialization and the search for additional content. These three elements, the different ways in which they are manifested concerning television and how they are reconfigured in a context of simultaneous fruition of internet and television are addressed in the present paper, confirming that this new practice not only brings innovations, but also establishes itself over old cultural practices.
