Resumo:In the history of interior design fabrics coated, established barriers, and metamorphosed spaces according to seasons and festivities. With this paper, we intend to approach the main functions displayed by fabrics in the past and present, prove the importance of historical knowledge for the project practice of designers, and understand the way some project strategies are translated nowadays, contributing to the (re)design scenic, mutable, intimate spaces, which at the same time may be containers of a narrative.
